Probably the pre-eminent guitar ensembles performing today, the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet features a repertoire that includes works by Astor Piazzolla, Debussy, Alberto Ginastera and J.S. Bach plus original music written for them by some of the world’s most outstanding contemporary composers.
Boasting a busy schedule, the Quartet’s recent appearances include the International Guitar Festival, the Guitar Foundation of America Festival, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, and the Austin and Columbus symphonies.
The concert takes place
3 pm Sunday afternoon, April 26 at the First Congregational Church, Fifth Avenue and White Pine in Hendersonville. Tickets are $20 including tax and are available at the door. Students are free. More information on Facebook and hendersonvillechambermusic.org.
