The second Music On Main Street concert on Friday, June 13, will feature the group Wishful Thinkin’. Wishful Thinkin’ is a four-piece band playing beach music and oldies rock. They have worked with such performers as: Percey Sledge, Marty Stuart, Band of Oz and The Embers. Band members include Red Fraley, guitar and lead vocals, Tommy Keith, drums and vocals, Gerald Carrigg, keyboard and vocals, and Steve Rhinehardt, bass and vocals.
Wishful Thinkin’ will be performing on the new permanent stage located in the lower section of the Visitors Center parking lot. The new stage and revamped parking lot design will provide better visibility for our Music On Main Street performers.
June 13 will be a special Corvette Night car show. Local owners will be showcasing their vintage and antique Corvettes. The restored cars will be located in front of the Visitors Information Center, between Allen Street and Caswell Street, which will be closed to traffic.
The 16th Annual Music On Main Street concert series will be held every Friday evening through August 15 at the Visitors Information Center, 201 South Main Street in Historic Downtown Hendersonville, NC. Bring a chair and sit back, relax and enjoy the music from 7:00-9:00 pm. Seating area opens after 5:30pm; early admission is strictly prohibited. Hendersonville city ordinance prohibits animals in the event area. No alcoholic beverages, backpacks and coolers allowed. Admission is free.
In case of inclement weather the concert will be postponed until 8:00PM; if the weather does not improve by 8:00PM the performance will be canceled.
