Holiday Tree Lighting and Christmas Bazaar at Historic Courthouse

Historic Downtown Hendersonville and the Henderson County Heritage Museum invite all who love to celebrate the holiday season to join in the fun at the Historic Courthouse on Main Street, Friday, November 29, from 5:30 until 8 pm. The event begins with local musical ensemble, Letters to Abigail, performing and leading the gathering in caroling; then Santa Claus arrives to light the two majestic Spruce trees on the Courthouse Plaza along with the holiday lights throughout downtown. There will be carriage rides on Main Street and a warm welcome inside the Courthouse where books and unique gifts and stocking stuffers will be on sale at the Museum’s first ever Christmas Bazaar.

After he conducts the lighting of the tree, Santa himself will be inside the Courthouse to listen to the children’s Christmas wishes (photos with Santa may be purchased for a small fee). And, of course, there will be refreshments.

A number of local authors will be on hand to personally sign their books including Dr. George Jones, Terry Ruscin, Bill Moss, Nicholas Warr, Terrell Garren, Phoebe Blackwell, Dr. Ed Neilsen and Gene Carman, among others.

Reservations are not required, and there is no admission charge.
