Letter to the Editor: A thought on the Newtown tragedy

When I was in school, I don’t recall anybody screaming about gun control. I drove into Enka High School many a day with my rifle or shotgun or both in my gun rack as did many of my buddies. We also carried pocket knives at an early age. I don’t ever remember any violence at all. What I do remember is praying in school and saying the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Seems things have changed. Anybody else detect a pattern here? Guns don’t kill people, people kill people!
